Description: Are you ready to join a growing team? CTG is seeking to fill a Mortgage Processor II opening for our client. Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Overview: The Mortgage Processor II is responsible for processing conventional and government loan applications in accordance with product guidelines, underwriting standards, investor requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. This role supports the end-to-end loan process by coordinating documentation, ensuring compliance, and facilitating a smooth and efficient experience for borrowers and internal stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities: • Maintain effective communication with borrowers, brokers, correspondents, loan officers, and internal partners to ensure a seamless loan application experience. • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to obtain required documentation, including Verification of Employment, IRS transcripts, title work, appraisals, bank statements, and other supporting materials. • Monitor loan files to ensure all underwriting conditions are satisfied; proactively address and resolve issues in collaboration with underwriting. • Review and update credit reports, income documentation, appraisals, and verifications for completeness and accuracy. • Immediately notify appropriate parties of any irregularities or issues related to standard mortgage guidelines. • Prepare and distribute commitment letters, suspend notices, and other required borrower communications. • Review title work and homeowners insurance documentation for accuracy and compliance. • Provide closing attorneys with required documentation and maintain processing checklists and loan condition updates. • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies; analyze regulatory document changes as needed. • Identify and escalate risk-related concerns in accordance with the organization’s risk and compliance framework. • Maintain internal control standards and support audit and regulatory remediation activities. • Support an inclusive, customer-focused environment and perform additional duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: Work closely with internal partners and external customers, including borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, closing agents, and third-party vendors, to ensure timely and accurate loan processing. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: None. Education and Experience Required: • Associate’s degree with a minimum of one (1) year of mortgage industry experience, or two (2) years of equivalent work experience; OR three (3) years of equivalent work experience including at least one (1) year of mortgage industry experience in lieu of a degree; OR six (6) months of specific mortgage processing experience plus an additional 6–12 months of experience in customer service, operations, or the financial services industry. • Mortgage processing experience with strong knowledge of loan documentation and workflow. • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to think quickly and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. • Strong PC skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, email, and PDF applications. Education and Experience Preferred: • Knowledge of mortgage products, investor guidelines, and compliance requirements. • Ability to make sound decisions based on available information. • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume mortgage environment. • Ability to adapt to changing policies, procedures, and workflow improvements. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload. • Ability to work independently within tight deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment; dependable with a strong work ethic. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
