The Patient Services Representative plays a pivotal role in greeting, guiding, and scheduling patients and visitors, serving as a vital link between patients and healthcare support staff. They excel in obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information, efficiently collecting co-pays and outstanding balances, and managing scheduling and insurance eligibility tasks. This compassionate and highly organized associate maintains a professional demeanor, works collaboratively with the team, and contributes creative solutions to practice challenges. With a focus on excellence, they ensure a warm and welcoming environment for all patients, staff, and visitors. This position may require you to travel between our offices in Wallingford, Meriden, Southington, and Cheshire with mileage reimbursement and paid travel time provided. Skills: • Proficient computer skills, with expertise in Microsoft Outlook and EMR systems. • Exceptional interpersonal skills, effectively interacting with patients, employees, physicians, and other office staff. • Strong multitasking abilities and exceptional organizational skills. • Ability to handle heavy volume customer service situations in a medical office setting. • Fluency in English, with proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required. Qualifications: • Minimum of a high school diploma; an Associate Degree is preferred • At least one year of experience in a high-volume customer service role within a medical office. • Excellent typing skills and a compassionate and energetic personality. • Proven experience making patients feel valued and important. • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient service.
