Full Description

Product Management Intern ) (Graduate students preferred; final-year undergrads or recent graduates with strong experience (2+ years) considered) Remote (U.S. time zones preferred) · Unpaid / Academic credit · 10–30 hrs / week · 3–6 months About Us At Complama, we help startups build secure, trustworthy products by turning cybersecurity, privacy, and AI governance requirements into clear, self-service workflows. We’re looking for a Product Management Intern to join our team and directly support our product development efforts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll report to our COO, collaborate closely with our Head of Engineering and engineering team, and work alongside other PM interns to drive features from concept through deployment. What You’ll Do • Translate technical needs into specs – Write PRDs that link customer pain points to technical requirements, business outcomes, and success metrics. • Write actionable user stories – Draft INVEST-style stories with clear acceptance criteria that keep the backlog unblocked and engineer-ready. • Collaborate in agile delivery – Join sprint ceremonies, refine requirements with engineers, and help align priorities across product and engineering. • Work with fellow PM interns – Share ownership of epics, exchange feedback on PRDs, and coordinate dependencies across the backlog. • Prototype & validate concepts – Build wireframes and workflows to communicate intent and test ideas with users. • Bridge business and engineering – Balance user value, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility in every decision. • Explore AI use cases – Identify practical ways generative AI can streamline internal workflows or enhance customer experience. Must-Have Qualifications Education • Enrolled in a graduate program (MBA, MSIS, MEng, etc.), in the final year of an undergraduate program, or a recent graduate with at least one academic term or equivalent experience remaining. Experience • 2+ years of professional or internship experience in product, engineering, UX, or consulting. Skill set • Familiarity with agile product development lifecycles. • Strong ability to write structured specs and break down requirements into technical detail. • Comfort engaging with engineering teams (reading API docs, understanding system diagrams, or clarifying edge cases.) • Clear written communication with strong attention to detail. • Customer-first mindset with the ability to connect technical tradeoffs to business impact. Nice-to-Have Extras • Exposure to cybersecurity, privacy, or AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST AI RMF). • Experience with B2B SaaS workflows (identity, access, compliance, integrations). • Previous experience at a startup or high-growth SaaS company. • Familiarity with our tech stack (React, Javascript, Java, Springboot, MySQL, AWS) What You’ll Gain • Real impact – Contribute to features that ship to production, not just classroom projects. • Mentorship – Weekly 1:1s with the COO plus pairing sessions with the Head of Engineering and engineers. • Peer collaboration – Build PM skills by working with and learning from other PM interns tackling parallel product areas. • Flexible schedule – Adaptable to your course load and time zone. • Academic credit – Coordination with your program requirements for internship credit. Note: This is an unpaid internship intended for educational enrichment. If you are seeking CPT authorization, please verify with your university that this internship would meet your university's requirements for CPT approval.
