The Role We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Design Direction to define and scale how our brand is expressed across the full customer experience — spanning both marketing and product touchpoints. This role establishes the vision, structure, and operating model for brand design, leading a multidisciplinary team across art direction, UX, motion, video, illustration, and brand copy. You’ll guide the evolution and governance of brand guidelines, systems, and component libraries in close partnership with Art Directors who develop and maintain these assets. Acting as a strategic partner to Creative Direction, Web, and Product Design leadership, you’ll ensure brand principles are consistently translated and integrated across the end-to-end customer journey. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for both elevating creative quality and building scalable systems that support company growth. Location: This is a remote position. You must live and work permanently in the U.S. to be considered. What You'll Do Lead and develop a multidisciplinary creative team, setting a high bar for quality, clarity, and accountability Coach and mentor Art Directors and senior creatives to own their domains while maintaining brand consistency Define the long-term vision for brand guidelines, design systems, and scalable component libraries Establish governance frameworks for brand application, asset creation, and system evolution Ensure cohesive brand expression across design, web, motion, video, and physical experiences Partner with Creative Direction and cross-functional leaders to translate vision into executable roadmaps Direct high-visibility, complex creative initiatives across channels Align brand systems with Product Design to ensure consistency across the full customer journey Resolve cross-team brand decision conflicts and drive alignment through influence Conduct brand audits to identify fragmentation and implement scalable improvements Balance creative ambition with operational realities, ensuring delivery quality and timeline accountability Contribute to leadership planning forums and advocate for design as a strategic business capability The Impact You'll Have At CompanyCam, your work makes a real impact. In this role, you’ll drive impact by: Establishing a scalable brand design system that supports long-term growth Elevating creative quality and consistency across marketing and product experiences Strengthening alignment between Brand, Web, and Product Design teams Building and developing a high-performing creative team Ensuring the brand evolves thoughtfully while remaining cohesive and adaptable What You'll Bring 7–10+ years of professional design experience, including 3+ years leading or managing design teams Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality creative work across digital, web, video, animation, and physical environments Strong portfolio showcasing brand development, design systems, and strategic problem-solving Hands-on experience working with scalable design systems and component libraries Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, engineering, and creative teams Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field — or equivalent practical experience UX experience (nice to have) Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders A continuous growth-mindset, with a focus on learning, embracing challenges, and continuously improving. A knack for creativity and innovation, bringing fresh ideas to the table and solving complex problems. Benefits & Compensation This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $$90,000-$105,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
