What the position is: The Base Administrative Assistant is responsible for the daily administration of office functions at the airport operations center. This position will assist all CommuteAir departments, including, but not limited to, the Corporate office, Maintenance Department, and Flight Operations department at base locations and will be the main administrative point of contact. Essential functions: • Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department/personnel • Fax, copy, and file office-related documents • Greeting and registering customers and visitors to the facility • Maintaining stock levels of all maintenance offices and cleaning supplies • Print, and distribute daily operational reports to the required departments • Issuing, tracking, and submitting to Accounting, company Purchase Orders for non-aircraft parts and non-aircraft billing issues • Provide oversight of employee uniform program from the approved uniform vendor • Assist the Security Department in the coordination of airport SIDA badge requirements for maintenance and support personnel • Oversight of “petty cash” allotments for minor purchases • Collects and submits employee expense reports • Act as the liaison between Human Resources and Accounting and the maintenance hangar personnel • Perform other duties as assigned by the designated Manager General requirements & qualifications: • At least 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken • High school diploma or equivalent • Satisfactory 10-year background history, including criminal background • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
