RCM Analyst – Job Description Company: Community Physicians, Oak Brook, Illinois Location: Chicagoland area (Hybrid: mixture of onsite and remote work) Reports To: Revenue Cycle Manager / Director of Finance / Practice Administrator Position Summary Community Physicians is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented RCM Analyst with 3‑4 years of experience to join our multispecialty physician group. The person will work across billing, coding, claims processing, reporting, and analytics to optimize revenue cycle performance. They will collaborate with clinical, operational, and financial teams to identify areas of improvement, ensure accuracy of payer claims, and support continuous process enhancement. Key Responsibilities • Manage end‑to‑end revenue cycle functions for multiple specialties, including patient registration, billing, claim submission, follow‑up, denials management, and collections. • Ensure accurate healthcare coding using CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS, modifiers, etc. • Audit claims and billing data for compliance, accuracy, and completeness; work with clinical staff to resolve documentation issues. • Develop and deliver reports on key revenue cycle metrics (A/R days, denial rate, clean claim rate, etc.). • Use EMR and billing systems to pull data, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements. • Monitor payer rules, reimbursement policies, and coding guidelines; update internal processes as needed. • Collaborate with finance and operations to forecast revenue and support budgeting. • Collaborate with Offshore Billing team to create reports, Analyze data, and be the main POC for internal teams. Required Qualifications • 3‑4 years of experience in RCM / medical billing & coding in a physician practice setting. • Knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS, payer billing rules, and regulatory requirements. • Experience with reporting, analytics, and dashboard creation. • Familiarity with EMR / practice management systems (Athena Health, Epic, Cerner, etc.). • Strong Excel skills and experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or SQL. • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have • Coding certifications (CPC, CCS, COC). • Experience with multiple specialties, both procedural and non‑procedural. • Exposure to process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma). Working Conditions Hybrid role with approximately 2‑3 onsite days per week. May require occasional overtime during billing cycles or month‑end close.
