Job Description: The Decision Support Analyst contributes to analytical and cost accounting efforts that inform strategic decision-making across the healthcare system. This role supports the maintenance and accuracy of the Strata Decision Support System (DSS), helping ensure reliable cost data and reporting. The analyst works collaboratively to provide insights into service line performance, cost efficiency, and resource utilization. Additionally, the position assists in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling processes, and serves as a technical and analytical resource for internal stakeholders. • Maintains and validates cost accounting data within Strata DSS to ensure accurate reflection of hospital and physician practice costs. • Analyzes service line, departmental, and physician-level performance to support strategic and operational initiatives. • Partners with FP&A to incorporate cost and utilization data into capital planning, operating budgets, and productivity reporting. • Develops and distributes recurring and ad hoc reports that inform leadership on cost trends, profitability, and operational performance. • Supports data integration processes and coordinate with IT and system owners to ensure the accuracy of source data feeding into Strata. • Participates in the cost assignment methodology development and help identify opportunities to improve cost accuracy and relevance. • Assists with forecasting and scenario analysis to support business planning and strategic initiatives. • Documents and maintains procedures, workflows, and assumptions used in reporting and costing processes. • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or related field required: Master's degree preferred. • One to three years of experience in healthcare finance, accounting, cost accounting, or decision support required. • Hands-on experience with Strata Decision Support System or similar EPM/Costing platforms strongly preferred. • Basic knowledge of hospital and physician cost accounting concepts and financial reporting with a willingness to learn. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of relational databases or data query tools (SQL, Power, BI, Tableau) is a plus. • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
