CEDAM is hiring a Virtual Client Services Specialist to support individuals across Michigan in accessing housing and financial stability resources. This is a fully remote position that offers the flexibility to work from home while making a direct impact in communities across the state. About Us The Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) is a nonprofit membership organization that works to build vibrant, sustainable, and equitable communities. We partner with local organizations and service providers to address issues like housing instability, financial insecurity, and access to opportunity. What You'll Do As a Virtual Client Services Specialist, you'll serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking help. Your day-to-day work will include: • Assisting clients via phone, email, and online platforms with information and referrals • Helping people navigate housing, financial assistance, and other support resources • Accurately documenting client interactions and maintaining confidentiality • Coordinating with internal staff and partner organizations to ensure smooth service delivery • Tracking service trends and sharing insights with the broader team What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: • Has strong listening and communication skills, especially with people in crisis • Is comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting • Has experience with virtual client engagement tools and basic data entry • Understands or has a willingness to learn about Michigan's housing and social service landscape • Has a background in customer service, case management, or nonprofit work (preferred but not required) • Is committed to equity, inclusion, and providing non-judgmental support Position Details • Fully remote (applicants must have reliable internet and a quiet space to work) • $28/hour • Flexible schedule - part-time and full-time options available • Equipment provided if needed Benefits We offer a supportive and inclusive remote work environment along with: • Paid time off and holidays • Flexible scheduling • Ongoing training and professional development • Opportunities to grow within the organization • Health and wellness stipend • Tech support and resources to ensure a successful remote setup
