This role offers the opportunity to lead complex mechanical designs, influence product development, and mentor engineers while working on custom switchgear and enclosure solutions. What You’ll Do • Lead the mechanical design of custom switchgear, switchboards, and electrical enclosures. • Develop and review 3D models and customer drawings to balance performance, compliance, and manufacturability. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mechanical engineering team members. • Design and integrate mechanical systems supporting circuit breakers, busbar routing, wiring, and assemblies. • Collaborate cross-functionally on new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. • Ensure designs comply with quality systems and applicable standards. What You Bring • 5–7+ years of mechanical design experience with switchgear, switchboards, or electrical enclosures. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent). • Experience in low- and/or medium-voltage systems within power, utilities, energy, defense, or control industries. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. • Working knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, and/or UL 67 (preferred).
