Company Description Common Waste is a national waste and recycling services company operating across all 50 states. We work with commercial, industrial, construction, and multi-site customers to deliver reliable service, transparent reporting, and scalable solutions in a traditionally outdated industry. As we continue to grow, we are investing heavily in internal platforms, systems, and process design to support scale, efficiency, and long-term operational excellence. This role is part of that investment. Role Description Director of Platform & Process The Director of Platform & Process will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the internal platforms, workflows, and processes that power the business. This role is responsible for translating growth into scalable systems, ensuring teams have the structure, tools, and processes needed to operate efficiently and consistently. This position will manage a small but growing team and work cross-functionally across finance, operations, sales, and technology. The role is highly execution-focused and ideal for a strong builder who thrives in fast-moving, growth-stage environments. This is a hands-on leadership role with meaningful ownership and the ability to make a real impact on how the company operates at scale. Key Responsibilities • Own and evolve internal platforms, tools, and workflows that support company-wide execution • Lead and manage a team responsible for systems, process design, and internal enablement • Design scalable processes that improve efficiency, accountability, and visibility across teams • Partner with leadership to identify bottlenecks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement • Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve how work moves through the organization • Ensure process adoption, documentation, and accountability across teams • Support system implementations, integrations, and enhancements as the business grows • Establish metrics and reporting to track effectiveness of platforms and processes Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in business systems, tech process improvement, or execution-focused leadership roles • Prior experience managing people and leading teams • Strong background in building or scaling internal processes in a growing organization • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, operations, sales, and technology teams • Proven ability to take ambiguous problems and turn them into structured, repeatable systems • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Strong communication, organization, and execution skills • Technological Experience with ERP, CRM, or internal business systems
