JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary: Maintenance Worker at a Boutique Hotel We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Worker to join our team at a charming boutique hotel. As a Maintenance Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the hotel's facilities. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on hotel systems, equipment, and guest rooms. You will work closely with other hotel staff to address maintenance issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and providing exceptional service in line with the hotel's standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of general maintenance practices, basic electrical and plumbing skills, and an eye for detail. You should be comfortable working independently and have a flexible, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving. A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff is essential. Key Responsibilities: • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances. • Respond to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests in a timely manner. • Repair and troubleshoot equipment and systems as needed. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. • Assist with any necessary renovations or improvements to the property. • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and materials needed for maintenance tasks. • Support housekeeping and front desk staff in ensuring a smooth operation of the hotel. Qualifications: • Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field. • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude. • Flexibility to work on-call or during off-hours as needed.
