Project Manager / Business Analyst (PM/BA) – W-2 Contract Location: Remote (Texas-based candidates strongly preferred) Employment Type: W-2 Contract (6 months, with potential for long-term extension) Experience Level: Senior (5+ years) Industry: Digital Transformation, Government & Enterprise Consulting About Commerce Connect LLC Commerce Connect LLC is an enterprise boutique consulting firm delivering digital modernization, systems integration, and data strategy solutions for government and enterprise clients. We operate at the intersection of compliance, scalability, and speed, supporting organizations through complex transformation initiatives. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst to support active and upcoming initiatives. This is a remote, W-2 contract role with strong potential for extension based on performance and project needs. Role Overview This role blends Project Management and Business Analysis responsibilities. You will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and leadership to document current-state and future-state workflows, manage delivery execution, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You will be hands-on, organized, and comfortable driving clarity in complex environments that require strong stakeholder coordination and delivery discipline. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Delivery • Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and risks • Support project planning, milestone tracking, and status reporting • Coordinate across cross-functional teams (engineering, UX, QA) • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives • Ensure delivery aligns with agreed-upon timelines, scope, and quality expectations Requirements & Workflow Analysis • Lead current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) workflow analysis • Document business processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities • Translate workflows into user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation • Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and delivery-ready Stakeholder Engagement • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and scope changes clearly • Support client demos, walkthroughs, and UAT coordination Technical & Compliance Context • Support projects involving APIs, integrations, and data flows • Work within environments requiring accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), security, or compliance considerations • Assist with testing coordination, validation, and acceptance activities Required Qualifications • 5+ years experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or hybrid PM/BA • Proven experience documenting current-state and future-state workflows • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria • Experience managing or supporting delivery teams in Agile environments • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and modern web platforms • Experience supporting enterprise, government, or regulated environments • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills • Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment Preferred Qualifications • Texas-based candidate (preferred, not required) • Prior consulting or client-facing experience • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma, GitHub • Experience with digital modernization, platform redesigns, or data initiatives Contract Details • 6-month W-2 contract • Strong potential for extension or long-term engagement • Remote work environment • Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience) How to Apply Apply via Indeed with your resume.
