Program Overview The Social Commerce Internship Program offers students and early-career professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in e-commerce, customer experience, and digital marketplace management. Interns will support the day-to-day operations of our TikTok Shop channel under the guidance of the Social CX Manager. This program is designed to provide interns with practical skills in online customer engagement, review management, dispute handling, and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing directly to the success of one of the fastest-growing sales channels in the e-commerce industry. What Interns Will Learn • E-Commerce Fundamentals: How marketplace platforms like TikTok Shop operate. • Digital Customer Experience: Best practices for engaging customers in a social commerce environment. • Marketplace Operations: Handling orders, reviews, and disputes within platform rules. • Brand Voice & Communication: Writing in a tone that balances professionalism with TikTok’s casual style. • Data & Insights: Logging, categorizing, and reporting on customer feedback to inform business decisions. Intern Responsibilities • Assist with day to day operations of the TikTok Shop Seller Center platform • Respond to TikTok Shop buyer messages within SLA, using approved macros and SOPs. • Monitor and respond to product reviews (positive, neutral, negative) with appropriate tone. • Log escalations, disputes, and recurring issues for review by the Social CX Manager. • Assist in maintaining internal trackers for performance metrics. • Participate in weekly check-ins to review performance, share learnings, and improve processes. Structure & Support • Duration: 6 months (part-time, flexible hours). • Training: Comprehensive onboarding with SOPs, macros, and escalation playbooks. • Supervision: Daily oversight and coaching from the Social CX Manager. • Collaboration: Exposure to CX and Social Media teams through cross-functional projects. • Educational Workshops: Sessions with leaders across our company to provide interns with a holistic understanding of one of the fastest growing E-Commerce brands Ideal Candidate Profile • Current student or recent graduate in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields. • Strong written communication skills. • Interest in e-commerce, digital marketing, or customer experience. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, online-first environment. • This position is fully remote, preference for candidates with experience in a remote work/education environment Why Join Interns will leave the program with: • Direct experience in social commerce & marketplace management. • Resume-building accomplishments tied to GMV impact. • A foundational understanding of CX, marketing, and operations in e-commerce. • The opportunity to be considered for future part-time or full-time positions.
