## Senior Project Manager Amteck is a nationally recognized Top 50 Electrical Design - Build Contractor redefining what it means to deliver excellence in electrical construction. We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive excellence in our cutting-edge Electrical Service division. ### The Role You'll manage the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects. You may also direct and mentor other Project Managers, provide field leadership of assigned jobsites, and lead other staff. This position reports to the VP of Service Operations and takes direction from the Executive Vice President of the associated region. The role demands business management acumen and proven leadership, organizational and time management skills, along with strong communication and client service abilities. ### What You'll Do You'll be responsible for mentoring and developing Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers while overseeing large or complex projects. Working closely with executive and operations groups, you'll provide input to company processes, procedures, and objectives. Managing multiple concurrent projects simultaneously, you'll lead across cost, planning, scheduling, personnel supervision, and ensure all financial targets are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling all project activities—takeoffs, budgeting, procurement, pull planning, scheduling, and production tracking. You'll manage project correspondence and documents through designated systems, act as the key liaison between customers and project staff, and identify and process scope changes while addressing issues professionally. Growing and maintaining customer relationships into partnerships will be central to ensuring satisfaction and quality service. You'll delegate tasks appropriately, giving clear and consistent instructions to team members. Creating, updating, and implementing project schedules through scheduling programs maintains control of assigned projects. Establishing and maintaining pull planning scheduling sessions and incorporating planning into the overall schedule keeps everyone aligned. You'll coordinate closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and other disciplines regarding planning, scheduling, and related tasks. Consistent communication with project clients ensures project constraints are managed and progress updates are delivered professionally. You'll establish methods for identifying and tracking completed work throughout the project lifecycle. Acting as a liaison to the Executive Vice President and VP of Service Operations, you'll lead and supervise the lead Superintendent of your jobsites, often responsible for guiding them through pre-established training and development objectives while reporting progress to the VP of Field Operations. Bringing strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to project teams, you'll participate in all applicable meetings—kick-off, alignment, turnover, status, and closeout. You'll complete PM Summaries thoroughly and accurately prior to project review meetings, arriving prepared to discuss findings. Reviewing and analyzing bid documents, you'll offer feedback to estimating and engineering teams as needed. Identifying and designing prefabrication solutions, you'll work with the project team and prefab specialists to implement strategy and analyze costs. Establishing contract budgets when projects are assigned and takeoffs are finalized, you'll create change order budgets when necessary. You're responsible for completing risk analysis of assigned contracts, reviewing and negotiating contracts with customers, then passing them to the President and President of Construction for final review. Ensuring permits and business licensing are in place falls under your purview. Working with your team and HR/Workforce department, you'll verify project compliance with state, local, and licensing requirements and all applicable employment laws. Coordinating with Human Resources and field supervision at project start, you'll understand and help implement the manpower strategy, ensure field supervisors grasp their responsibilities, and assist with interviews, hiring decisions, and HR-related functions as needed. Negotiating, reviewing, and approving subcontracts and major material purchases are core duties. You'll provide financial projections, work-complete reports, and progress reports both internally and externally. Creating project documents in Coins—RFIs, PCOs, RFPs, Submittals, Issues, Risks and Opportunities, Meeting Minutes—as needed keeps everyone informed. Reviewing and auditing field documents including Daily Reports, Safety, Inspection, and Test Reports ensures quality standards. Working with your project team and internal Amteck resources, you'll establish quality assurance strategies and ensure quality is carried out throughout the project duration in adherence to Amteck quality standards. Reviewing and establishing close-out documents—As - Builts, O&Ms, Owner Training, Warranty information, and Extra Materials—finalizes projects properly. You'll review, resolve open Purchase Orders and invoices, resolve receivables issues, and assist Project Coordinators with collection on outstanding amounts. Ensuring construction projects are completed to job performance standards and appropriate codes while maintaining customer satisfaction means holding team members accountable to these standards. Overseeing material procurement coordination with approved vendors for maximum efficiency and cost, you'll review and approve all RFQs for materials and tools. Investigating reported safety issues in coordination with Amteck's Safety department and resolving issues involving missing or damaged tools or vehicles are important responsibilities. Finally, managing conflict resolution with clients through clear communication while addressing all concerns, questions, or problems expediently keeps relationships strong. ### What You'll Need Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience in electrical construction, industrial and commercial settings is required. You must have knowledge in Electrical Project Management, NEC, OSHA, and Safety Codes/Practices. Demonstrated experience managing electrical construction projects ranging from $5M to $15M or more is essential. You'll need the ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment with very tight deadlines. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service is non-negotiable. The ability to delegate, give clear and consistent instructions to team members, and travel to meet project needs are critical. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience with Construction Scheduling Software—specifically Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project—is necessary. Experience with Accu. Bid Estimating Software is preferred. Experience with remote project management is preferred. You must have strong overall computer skills and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, as well as industry-specific software.
