Columbia Southern University Job Description Job Title: Talent & Culture Coordinator Department: Human Resources Reports to: Director of Human Resources, Training & Development FLSA: Exempt Hours: Monday through Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, (Remote) Location: Orange Beach, AL Compensation: The starting compensation for this position starts at $41,600.00 annually. Disclosure: Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and company compensation guideline. Job Summary The Talent & Culture Coordinator provides recruiting support to the university to ensure open positions are filled with qualified applicants within a timely manner, while upholding the core valves and behavioral traits of the institution. This role is vital in the success of our hiring process, and positive new hire experience. Essential Job Tasks Additional duties may be assigned. • Maintains the applicant tracking systems (Paycor) and other recruiting-related CRM systems to track applicants through the applicant phase through to on-boarding. • Maintains interview questions for each position within the university, by researching best practices, developing new interview questions, and periodically reviewing current questions to ensure these questions uphold the values of the institution and candidates fit well within the university’s culture. • Coordinate with department leadership to gather all necessary approvals to extend job offers to candidates, to meet all staffing needs within each department. • Supports positive cultural engagement within the university and promotes new and innovative best practices for employee engagement. What is the expectation for this to be done successfully? • Adheres to an effective and consistent recruitment process and identifies opportunities within the process to add value, improve quality, and internal customer service. • Partners with Training and Development to enhance the onboarding process and implement additional training programs for the university. • Researches industry job boards and advertises open positions appropriately by creating job postings researching various media outlets for online recruitment needs to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified applicants. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience • High School diploma or the equivalent. • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in talent management and recruiting preferred not required, preferably in higher education. • SHRM or HRCI Certifications a plus but not required. Equipment Used • Office equipment including computers, telephones, and printers. • Software used includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal database software. • Secure and reliable internet is required for this position. The position is hybrid and should have an established office with secure and reliable internet.
