The Fleet Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing daily fleet operations, driver coordination, vehicle maintenance scheduling, compliance, and operational efficiency to ensure dependable service and safe transportation practices. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily fleet operations, dispatch coordination, routing, and transportation scheduling • Supervise and support drivers, fleet personnel, and transportation staff to ensure efficient operations • Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and operational costs • Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and vehicle compliance activities • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, licensing, and transportation requirements • Analyze operational data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize fleet performance • Coordinate with dispatchers, customers, vendors, and management teams regarding transportation schedules and service needs • Investigate and resolve operational issues, delays, accidents, or service concerns promptly and professionally • Maintain accurate fleet records, reports, maintenance documentation, and compliance files • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of drivers and fleet staff • Support implementation of operational procedures, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts • Ensure excellent customer service and on-time delivery performance across operations Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business, or related field preferred • 3–5+ years of fleet operations, transportation, or logistics management experience preferred • Knowledge of DOT regulations, fleet safety standards, and transportation compliance requirements • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Experience with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office • Excellent communication and team management abilities • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment What We’re Looking For At COLT EXPRESS, we value team members who: • Lead with professionalism, accountability, and integrity • Thrive in fast-paced operational environments • Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, customers, and team members • Take a proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges • Are committed to safety, efficiency, and exceptional service Pay: $57,762.23 - $69,563.13 per year Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan Work Location: Remote
