TITLE: Regional Director of Community Fundraising - South ORGANIZATION: Colorectal Cancer Alliance LOCATION: Remote, South (Dallas, TX, Tampa, FL or Atlanta, GA) POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt REPORTS TO: VP of Community Fundraising COMPENSATION: $90,000-$110,000 annual salary; Healthcare benefits are available for this role. ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW: The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Regional Director will manage and oversee all community fundraising events and activities for a specific geographic region; ensuring revenue generation is optimized and goals are achieved through a volunteer-led-staff supported model. This is accomplished through the development of strategies that identify, recruit, and activate individuals to raise funds in support of the organization's strategic priorities and mission in specified target markets, working in collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop robust fundraising tools, resources and opportunities. The Regional Director will ensure events and other fundraising engagements are executed successfully. The Regional Director will also direct and guide their team’s efforts to optimize the returns from fundraisers’ efforts and foster a sense of community among the patients and volunteers. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Develop and implement volunteer led-staff supported strategies that identify, enlist and activate individuals within communities in a specific geographic region to raise funds supporting the Alliance’s strategic priorities and overall mission. * Work with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive and effective tools and resources that facilitate and maximize volunteer fundraisers efforts. * Develop events and other fundraising engagement opportunities that attract the involvement of volunteer fundraisers and community members participation. * Identify, recruit, and activate volunteers to engage in DIY fundraisers and or Alliance fundraising events. * Work with the Community Fundraising Ops Manager to oversee and ensure the successful execution of Alliance fundraising events. * Build strong relationships with volunteer fundraisers through effective ongoing stewardship and cultivation, and building community amongst them. * Build effective volunteer committees to successfully execute local events and grow community focused revenue as appropriate; ensure there is a defined volunteer structure and processes that empower them to lead key event functions and maximizes their contributions. * Secure sponsors and other community partners for Alliance events * Work collaboratively with other development leaders and teams to cultivate relationships and grow revenue from volunteer fundraisers through the identification of broader opportunities for supporting the organization. * Identify and engage volunteer fundraisers in local Alliance mission activities to strengthen their connection and relationship with the Alliance. * Foster relationships with industry and non-industry community organizations. * Manage and direct the activities of the Community Fundraising Manager and other region team members. REQUIREMENTS: * 5+ years of fundraising experience or development experience * Experience leading and engaging high level volunteers * Experience overseeing regional territory or multi-state/multi-site preferred SALARY RANGE: Competitive non-profit salary, typically ranging from $90,000-$110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
