About Us COLLiDE is a dynamic marketing organization overseeing a diverse portfolio of properties, including the Portland Pickles (WCL), Lake County Captains (MiLB), Portland Bangers (USL2), Portland Cherry Bombs FC (USLW) and Official League (premium apparel for music and sports teams). Our teams are recognized for industry-leading creativity, fan engagement, and building cultures that connect deeply with their communities. We are seeking a Social Media & Marketing Director to lead our local social media managers across our properties. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff and the President, this role ensures each brand operates with a consistent, high-energy, and forward-thinking approach to content, engagement, and growth. Reporting Structure • Direct Report to: Chief of Staff and President • Management Oversight: Local Social Media Managers across all COLLiDE properties. Key Responsibilities Management & Operations • Team Leadership: Manage a small team of social media managers, providing clear direction, professional mentorship, and creative support. • Operational Structure: Implement and lead a rigorous management cadence, including daily/weekly check-ins and monthly performance reviews. • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor KPIs for each property to ensure growth, engagement, and conversion targets are met. • Workflow Optimization: Design and implement streamlined workflows for content approvals and cross-departmental communication. Digital Advertising & Sales Integration • Paid Media Collaboration: Work closely with the internal ads team to execute high-performing content for sales campaigns supported by paid media. • Campaign Alignment: Ensure social media content strategies are synchronized with broader digital advertising goals (ticketing, merchandise, and partnerships). • PR: Have experience working with media outlets on launch events Content Strategy & Execution • Oversee the development of monthly social media content calendars, • Leverage AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to streamline content planning, creative brainstorming, and organizational workflows. • Lead game-day and event content strategies to ensure live coverage is extraordinary Training & Development • Train social media managers in digital marketing, local PR, and high-impact storytelling. • Champion the implementation of AI tools into daily workflows to increase team efficiency and stay ahead of industry trends. • Implement "The COLLiDE Way" to maximize team launches, game-day activities, and major brand moments. Qualifications • Management Experience: Proven track record of managing a small team with success in implementing structured meetings, reporting, and support systems. • Digital Advertising: Understanding of paid social platforms and digital advertising principles; experience working alongside ads teams to drive sales. • Professional Experience: 2+ years of social media management experience. Direct experience in the sports industry or a fast-paced small business environment is highly preferred. • AI & Innovation: Understanding of AI platforms to assist with content organization, with an openness to learning and implementing new AI-driven workflows. • Logistics: Must reside in Portland, OR and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment, empowering workplace.
