Salesforce Business Analyst College Board - Technology Location: Remote Role Type: This is a full-time position About the Team We are a team of technologists working together to solve complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions. About the Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Business Analyst with deep expertise in analyzing business needs, documenting and optimizing business processes, gathering requirements, and translating them into scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. The ideal candidate has significant hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration, declarative automation (Flows, Process Builder), and a strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, data modeling, and integration capabilities. This role involves partnering with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and implemented effectively. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle—facilitating requirements gathering, documenting current and future state business processes, creating user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting user testing, developing change management plans and training to support solutions developed and ensuring solutions align with business goals. Reporting to the Staff Engineering Director, this individual will work in an agile environment and help drive adoption of Salesforce across the organization by aligning business processes with platform capabilities. In this role, you will: Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize requirements for Salesforce solutions Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria Configure and optimize Salesforce features, including Flows, Process Builder, validation rules, page layouts, and reports/dashboards Support Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud enhancements that align with evolving program needs Collaborate with developers, administrators, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are implemented correctly and meet user expectations Develop business process documentation, workflow diagrams, and configuration guides Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management activities to support adoption Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance user experience, and reduce manual processes through Salesforce capabilities Stay current on Salesforce platform updates, industry trends, and best practices to proactively recommend improvements About You Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Minimum 6–7 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 4–5 years working specifically with Salesforce in a technology or consulting-focused environments. Strong knowledge of Salesforce declarative tools, including Flows, Process Builder, validation rules, and reports/dashboards Familiarity with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud functionality and use cases Experience creating detailed documentation, process maps, and requirements specifications Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams Experience working in Agile environments, writing user stories, and supporting sprint planning and backlog refinement Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Nice to have: Familiarity with integration concepts (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware) to support collaboration with technical teams Exposure to Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Gearset, Copado, Salesforce DX) from a business requirements perspective Salesforce Business Analyst or Administrator certification Exceptional candidates can effectively speak to: Experience and Expertise Expertise working with Salesforce CRM, performing business analysis, requirements gathering, and system support for enterprise applications including Salesforce. Demonstrated ability to partner with business units to understand needs, translate them into user stories, and deliver enhancements that drive adoption and measurable value. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Experience facilitating workshops, prioritization sessions, and requirements reviews with diverse business units and technical teams. Ability to balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders and guide discussions toward outcomes aligned with enterprise strategy. Content-Specific and Technical Skills Familiarity with Salesforce capabilities (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, integrations, reporting). Proficiency in business process documentation, data analysis, and writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria. Experience supporting testing (UAT), validating data, and ensuring solutions meet compliance and governance standards. Comfort working in an agile environment, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
