3-5 years executive recruitment experience with senior-level placements in policy, public sector, or communications, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to create recruitment materials.
We're Colleague, a dynamic executive search firm with a presence on both coasts, specializing in placing senior, highly-motivated executives in leadership roles with our clients in public policy, government, public utilities, non-profit organizations, marketing, advertising, and communications. We're seeking a freelance, part-time Executive Recruiter and Talent Researcher to help us as we scale our business - an energetic contributor who will both help us build our business, and conduct thoughtful research and interviews to increase our pipeline of talented candidates. This person must have experience placing senior-level leaders, especially in the nonprofit (fundraising, administration), public policy (communications, political campaigns, programming), and communication (public relations, media relations, social media) sectors. This role is fully remote for the moment, but you must be willing to work part-time ET hours! Key Responsibilities • Research potential candidates for clients representing a variety of industries, with an eye toward candidates who may be thriving in other roles • Interact with potential candidates on professional networks, on social media, and with industry partners for pipeline development • Craft compelling recruitment emails • Identify and screen potential candidates, active or passive, for current openings or pipelines • Partner with the founder to develop new business opportunities • Partner with other team members to write dynamic pitch decks for potential new clients • Other administrative and business growth tasks as necessary Desired Skills & Experience • 3-5 years in executive recruitment -- must have experience with senior-level searches in policy, political campaigns, government, and/or marketing/communications • Experience creating decks and proposals, responding to RFPs and other opportunities. Facility with graphic design and web design a big plus • Deep understanding of LinkedIn and other platforms for talent recruitment • Experience sourcing candidates, with the ability to see potential in candidates who may present as non-traditional • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a natural with clients • Natural curiosity about a variety of industries, keeping up with the parlance of those industries, and understanding the types of leaders that thrive in those environments • Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task and produce high volume pipelines under tight deadlines • Ability to create and provide a “best in class” candidate experience Salary commensurate with experience.
