Role Overview: As a Data Center Technician at Collabera, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the physical infrastructure of our client’s data center facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation, reliability, and security of data center environments, contributing to seamless IT service delivery. What You'll Do: - You will monitor and maintain data center equipment, including servers, networking hardware, and power systems. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure facility uptime. - You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and infrastructure issues promptly. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new equipment and systems. - You will maintain accurate documentation of data center operations and incidents. - You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support facility upgrades and projects. - You will adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards within the data center. - You will provide on-site support during critical incidents and scheduled maintenance windows. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years of experience working in data center operations or a related technical field. - Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and cabling systems. - Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - Ability to work 100% on-site in Madison (Canton, MS) with flexible availability for shift work. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA), or similar. - Experience with monitoring tools and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software. - Familiarity with network hardware and basic networking concepts. - Previous experience supporting large-scale enterprise data centers.
