Role Overview: As a Data Center Technician at Collabera, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the physical infrastructure of our client’s data center facilities. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of data center engineering and facility operations, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of essential IT services. What You'll Do: - You will monitor and maintain data center equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems. - You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and facility-related issues promptly. - You will coordinate with engineering teams to support data center upgrades and installations. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and operational activities. - You will adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards within the data center environment. - You will assist in managing inventory and ordering of necessary parts and supplies. - You will provide on-site support during critical incidents and outages. What You Bring: - You have at least 2 years of experience working in data center operations or a related technical field. - You possess strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and cabling systems. - You have experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - You have the ability to work 100% on-site in Madison (Canton, MS). - You hold relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA), or equivalent. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with data center monitoring tools and software. - Familiarity with network hardware and protocols. - Previous experience in a contract or fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and teamwork skills.
