Role Overview: As a Data Center Technician at Collabera, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the physical infrastructure of data centers. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of data center facilities, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of IT services. What You'll Do: - You will monitor and maintain data center equipment, including servers, networking hardware, and power systems. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal facility operations. - You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and infrastructure issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will coordinate with engineering and operations teams to support data center projects and upgrades. - You will manage inventory and documentation related to data center assets and maintenance activities. - You will adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards to maintain a secure working environment. - You will provide on-site support for installation, configuration, and decommissioning of data center equipment. - You will assist in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in data center operations or a related technical field. - Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and cabling systems. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and network equipment. - Ability to work 100% on-site in Madison (Canton, MS) with flexible hours as required. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or Data Center Certified Associate. - Experience with data center management software and monitoring tools. - Familiarity with safety and compliance standards like OSHA and ANSI/TIA. - Previous experience in a contract or fast-paced technical environment.
