Role Overview: As a Data Center Facility Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of data center facilities. Your expertise will support the engineering and operational teams to maintain optimal performance, reliability, and security of the data center infrastructure. What You'll Do: - You will monitor and maintain data center facility systems including power, cooling, and environmental controls. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. - You will respond promptly to facility alarms and incidents to minimize downtime. - You will coordinate with engineering and technical teams to support infrastructure upgrades and repairs. - You will document all maintenance activities and operational procedures accurately. - You will assist in managing vendor relationships and service contracts. - You will ensure compliance with safety and security protocols within the data center. - You will participate in shift handovers and maintain clear communication with team members. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data center operations or facility management. - Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure including HVAC, electrical systems, and fire suppression. - Ability to work a 10-hour shift schedule, Monday through Thursday. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with data center monitoring tools and software. - Certifications related to data center operations or facilities management. - Background in electrical or mechanical engineering. - Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in data centers.
