Your one year outcomes US tax calculations are 99.9% accurate. 100+ tax articles reviewed from a tax SME POV. What you will do Be the lead US tax SME. Audit CoinTracker tax engine and identify bugs. Write and/or review technical tax articles. What we look for Qualifications An active US-based CPA, EA or a tax attorney. 5+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns. Role-agnostic Impact: Demonstrated ability to drive business impact. Communication: Able to clearly talk about the details and also zoom out to the bigger picture Role-specific Tax fundamentals Knowledge about relevant code sections, regulations, guidance, and court cases related to crypto taxes Ability to properly do tax research and evaluate tax positions for ambiguous transactions Know the mechanics of filing individual and business tax returns Up-to-date knowledge about what’s happening in the crypto industry and how it’s impacting taxpayers and CoinTracker’s business (e.g. broker regs) Crypto savvy Cryptocurrency user Understands transactions beyond simple buying & selling (mining, staking, lending, DeFi & NFTs) The starting salary for this position is between $130,000 - $160,000 USD. Candidate's location does not impact the posted salary range. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of job-related factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
