Job Overview Hello! We are a small arts and music business representing a Latin Grammy Award-winning musician for kids and families. We also have best-selling picture books based on the songs, and coordinate a robust booking schedule of performances and author events around the country. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, innovative, artistic and ideally bilingual (Spanish/English) Social Media Manager to join our team. Having a background in education or working with kids and families in general is a plus. We're looking for someone who can help us position our brand so that it attracts educators, librarians, parents, grandparents-- basically anyone who loves kids and wants to provide them with high-quality music and books. The best candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance our brand presence, engage with our audience, and drive traffic to our platforms. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and an understanding of current social media trends, particularly in the kids and families space. Responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive social media marketing strategies across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. • Create engaging creative content that aligns with brand messaging and resonates with target audiences. • Use SEO techniques and keyword research to optimize content for search engines. • Monitor social media channels for trends, customer feedback, and engagement opportunities through social listening. • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including Facebook Advertising, to increase brand visibility and reach. • Analyze performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and Buffer to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly. • Collaborate with graphic designers to produce visually appealing graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. • Proofread all content to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines. This is especially important as we are in the education space! • Engage in public relations efforts by building relationships with influencers and managing community interactions. • Stay updated on industry trends in digital marketing, e-commerce, and social media management to keep the brand at the forefront of innovation. • Assist in video editing and photography tasks as needed to enhance visual content quality. Experience • Background as an educator or other experience working with kids and families--including being a parent!-- is a plus. • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred • Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing roles. • Graphic design skills; proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other tools within the Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable. • Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer is preferred. • Experience in content creation, branding, relationship management, and public relations will be advantageous. • Knowledge of web analytics tools for tracking performance metrics is preferred; experience with Google Analytics is a plus. • Skills in video editing and photography are beneficial for creating high-quality visual content.
