Learn more about Cognosos's mission to equip enterprises with instant asset intelligence that unlocks operational potential and optimizes performance at www.cognosos.com. The Mission You are the operational anchor for Cognosos’ mission-critical Real-Time Location Services (RTLS). You bridge the gap between our cloud-based intelligence and the physical reality of hospitals, automotive plants, and vehicle auctions. You own the health and integrity of our on-site RF infrastructure, whether it’s ensuring a nurse’s safety duress badge is active or tracking thousands of vehicles at an automotive plant. Responsibilities Incident Orchestration & Data Forensics: Serve as the L2 escalation point for PagerDuty alerts. You will diagnose whether an infrastructure down event is a Cognosos hardware failure, a customer network outage, or a localized power fluctuation. Observability & Health Monitoring: Leverage remote monitoring stacks (Grafana, Kibana, and internal BI tools) to proactively spot trends before they become outages. You will monitor device check ins, battery health, and RF signal integrity across a global fleet of devices. Strategic Vendor Management: You are not just dispatching a tech; you are building a scalable workforce. You will recruit, vet, and manage a national network of 3rd-party field service technicians that you can train and guide through complex physical repairs. Post-Implementation Site Commissioning: Receive the customer site “Go-Live” hand-off from our implementation team. You are the final gatekeeper, ensuring that new hospital or automotive infrastructures are perfectly configured, reporting accurately, and ready for long-term health. Continuous Improvement: Analyze recurring failure modes and develop troubleshooting playbooks and SOPs to resolve incidents faster and more efficiently. Required Qualifications 5+ Years of Hybrid Technical Experience: You’ve spent time in a role (Field Service, IT Support, or Systems Admin) where you had to balance software logic with physical hardware realities. Network Savvy: A solid understanding of DHCP, Static IPs, VLANs, and Firewalls. You should feel confident discussing network topology and security protocols with a Hospital or Automotive Plant’s IT Director. Observability Literacy: While you don't need to write code, you must be highly proficient in using remote diagnostic dashboards (Grafana, Kibana, etc.) to visualize data, interpret logs, and identify root causes. RF Physics Fundamentals: You understand how wireless signals (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN) behave in the real world. You can explain why a stack of metal chassis or a concrete wall is affecting signal integrity. Operational Discipline: Proven ability to maintain a high-pressure ticket queue while simultaneously coordinating a field dispatch. Nice-to-Have Skills / Experience Logic & Automation: Experience using basic logic or Python to automate repetitive data-scraping or reporting tasks. Vertical Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA (Healthcare) or OSHA-10 (Industrial) safety standards. Advanced Tooling: Previous experience with PagerDuty, HubSpot, or specialized industrial IoT platforms. Vendor Platforms: Experience managing labor through platforms like Field Nation or WorkMarket. Benefits and Perks: Competitive salaries Unlimited vacation so you can rest and recharge Full benefits program (Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, life and disability insurance) Parental Leave Paid parking at our Atlanta office Opportunity for equity participation Volunteer opportunities
