The Sales Operations Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing sales productivity and performance by driving strategic sales planning and optimizing sales processes. This role addresses challenges such as ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms, improving sales workflow efficiency, and providing actionable insights through automated reports and dashboards. Additionally, the Sales Operations Manager drives compensation and commission management processes, ensuring transparency and accuracy in payouts. Additionally, the Sales Operations Manager collaborates cross-functionally to align sales, delivery and marketing efforts, ultimately contributing to overall business growth. Key Areas of Responsibility: Provide sales team with tools, materials and learnings to enable effective selling of delivery offerings Provide ad hoc support to global sales team as needed Track and analyze key performance metrics such as pipeline volume, win rates, sales cycle length, and forecast accuracy. Design, document, and continuously improve sales workflows and methodologies Develop audits and processes to support data integrity in Salesforce and downstream systems Build and automate Sales Reports, CRM and Business Intelligence dashboards to identify and track opportunities, pipeline, priority customers and sales performance Own and maintain Sales tools and processes – ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms and departments including Workday, Salesforce.com and business intelligence dashboards Help with accountability of accurate sales data for Leadership Work with Marketing to provide sales information needed for marketing and sales initiatives Develop a process for measuring deal quality and advancing deals through a deal cycle Lead deal review and deal approach meetings to ensure we are pursuing opportunities that best fit our business model and goals Provide sales expertise on internal projects Provide sales expertise when needed to support sales process and sales tool changes Collaborate with Leadership and Finance to help develop and maintain comp plans, quotas, sales initiative programs, business agreements, territories and commissions. Ensure accurate and timely commission payouts. Create transparency in commission structure and enable sales team to track earnings via tools/dashboards Collaborate with Workday and Finance to manage, track and pay out for the Referral and Cosell programs Proactively identify opportunities for sales operating efficiency including but not limited to Key Responsibilities Additional duties as assigned by manager Skills and Requirements: 2 years’ experience with Workday preferred 3+ years’ experience in sales insights/analytics, territory planning and/or sales operations. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience Solid financial, and business acumen required Previous experience managing sales commissions, sales compensation plans and territory management required Strong experience using Salesforce.com, recommending Salesforce improvements, and creating Salesforce reports and dashboards on key sales metrics Ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment, maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail Highly skilled in Excel, building reports, and analyzing data for Executive and Sales Leadership Proficient in PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint Travel up to 10% of the time Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until 03/18/2026 The annual salary for this position is between USD $75,500 - USD $123,750 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
