Cognizant is a large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies to transform a variety of business operations. The Sales Compensation Project Manager is responsible for managing the Sales compensation support team. Their key responsibilities include SLA adherence, Quality Analysis, client communication, team management and information management. The ideal PM is a sales compensation subject matter expert in who will collaborate with all stakeholders to identify solutions to issues and improve the process to deliver better results with a goal to improve the accuracy and timeliness of commission payments as outlined in the compensation plan. Role Responsibilities Manage and oversee sales compensation analysts, including supporting staff needs and professional development. Develop, implement, and refine sales compensation processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Identify, analyze, and implement improvements to the sales compensation process that increase transparency and better enable the field to understand how their plan works and how they are compensated. Lead regular business reviews to provide updates on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and identify process bottlenecks. Suggest and implement recommendations to resolve upstream challenges affecting sales compensation. Coordinate effectively with all relevant stakeholders for end-to-end program management of sales compensation initiatives. Organize and lead weekly, monthly and quarterly business review with the customer with case metrics, improvements and results. Ensure adherence to the clients and Cognizant’s compliance requirements, and all internal/ client audits like SOX audit. Bring process/tool enhancements/automation to enable the client team to meet the set objectives; and bring in Industry perspectives to help shape strategy and roadmap. Minimum Qualifications Excels in fast-paced environments, effectively prioritizing and multitasking. Possesses advanced skills in data analysis and report creation. A cross-functional collaborator who works well with teams to ensure timely resolution. Strong conflict resolution skills, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges before they escalate. Ability to self-direct work and be resourceful in ambiguous situations. Ability to articulate an actionable and bite-size roadmap with focused measurable outcomes. Required Skills At least a Bachelor's degree is required Previous experience as a Customer Support Representative is preferred with strong experience in sales compensation or payroll support. Advanced level proficiency in using MS Excel; experience with other database tools like is desirable. Overall progressive experience of 8-15 years in sales compensation or related fields, having led highly successful teams. The ideal candidate will have minimum 5-7 years of experience of working with cross-functional teams such as finance, IT support, sales, and customers. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading large and geographically diverse teams of at least 40 people spready across minimum 2 geographies. Familiarity with enterprise business practices, sales operations, and order management. Desirable - Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and case management systems. Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills are essential. Desirable - Intermediate SQL skills, Strong analytical and modeling skills, with experience working with large datasets. Desirable - Familiarity with sales compensation tools (e.g., Callidus/SAP, Anaplan, Xactly). Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until September 19th, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $86,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
