Mobile Developer (Android, iOS, React Native, Ionic, Ionic Capacitator) Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship. Applicants will be required to attend interviews in person or by video conference. In addition, candidates will be required to present their current state or government issued ID during each interview. About the role: · Work model: Remote (in person meet and greet and physical ID verification is a must before rolling out any offer) · Location: Madison, WI Responsibilities: · We are looking for a seasoned mobile developer with 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Android, iOS, and React Native platforms. · This hybrid role centers on building cutting-edge mobile applications that elevate user engagement and satisfaction. · The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions aligned with strategic business goals. · Lead the end-to-end design and development of mobile applications using Android, iOS, and React Native technologies. · Utilize tools and frameworks such as API Manager, Angular (versions 13–16), Ionic, Ionic Capacitor, and the Ionic Framework to build scalable solutions. · Collaborate closely with product managers and UX/UI designers to gather requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications. · Manage the full application lifecycle from initial concept and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. · Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of mobile applications. · Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. · Apply best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to maintain high standards of software quality. · Work with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate new features and enhancements into existing applications. · Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improve development processes. · Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and a seamless user experience across platforms. · Oversee project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met and quality is maintained. · Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with business goals. · Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and user guides to support deployment and maintenance. · Participate in code reviews to uphold consistency, maintainability, and high code quality across the team. Required Qualifications: · 7 + years of experience as Android and iOS Mobile developer. · Experience with React Native platforms. · Framework experience such as API Manager, Angular (versions 13–16), Ionic, Ionic Capacitor, and the Ionic Framework. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
