Role Overview We are seeking a mid-level engineer to join our team in building and maintaining the Enterprise Elastic APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tool. This role is ideal for someone with strong Elastic Stack experience and a passion for integrating AI-powered development tools. The candidate will play a key role in incorporating GitHub Copilot for source code enhancement, managing GitHub Actions workflows, and utilizing M365 Copilot for scripting updates and automation. Key Responsibilities Design and deploy scalable Elastic Stack solutions, including Elastic Cloud implementations. Assist in migrating legacy monitoring systems to Elastic Stack-based platforms. Manage Elastic Stack components in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Administer and optimize Elastic Stack on Linux VMs and Elastic Cloud. Integrate AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and GitHub Actions into development and deployment workflows. Leverage M365 Copilot to streamline scripting and automation tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data ingestion, indexing, and visualization strategies. Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across all deployments. Document architecture decisions, deployment procedures, and best practices. Required Qualifications 4–6 years of hands-on experience with the full Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats). Experience with Elastic Cloud deployment and lifecycle management. Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong Linux VM administration and deployment skills. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Experience integrating GitHub Copilot and GitHub Actions into development workflows. Exposure to M365 Copilot for scripting and automation. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Skills Experience in enterprise migration projects involving observability tools. Knowledge of APM best practices in large-scale environments. Agile/Scrum team experience. Compensation: - $75,000 to $90,000 +/- and this position are also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
