You would set the direction for the fellow experience and manage program operations, communications, onboarding, and community engagement with internal and external partners.
The role requires 7+ years of program management, including cohort-based programs or member communities, as well as scalable systems experience using AI tools and willingness to travel for events.
CodePath is the largest educator of college computer science students in the country. We've trained over 40,000 students from 1,000+ universities, and our partners include Amazon, Google, and other leading technology companies. We've spent nearly a decade training the next generation of technical talent, and we just launched a $150M initiative with Anthropic, building one of the most ambitious AI workforce programs in the world. We're now expanding into new markets and scaling our team so we can move at the speed AI is transforming the workforce. People joining CodePath now will have the opportunity to help architect the next frontier of our work. We believe technical skill is the fastest way to turn raw talent into real opportunity. We train the engineers the AI era runs on, building toward millions of learners, hundreds of millions in revenue, and billions in economic impact. If you want to own something and be part of a 0-to-1 journey at an organization moving at the speed of AI, this is the place to build it. Location: Remote (U.S.), with regular travel for in-person events Role type: Full-time Reports to: Kelly Mosher, Program Lead, Claude Corps Compensation: $130,000 to $155,000 About Claude Corps In June 2026, Anthropic and CodePath launched Claude Corps, a $150M national fellowship. It places 1,000 paid, AI-skilled fellows in 12-month roles at mission-driven organizations across the country. Anthropic funds the program and sets strategy. CodePath employs the fellows and leads their training and programming. The program is growing fast. Cohort 1 started in October 2026 with 100 fellows. Cohort 2 starts in March 2027 with 300. Cohort 3 starts in late summer 2027 with 600. Many fellows relocate to a new city for the year, so their experience, from offer letter to last day, decides whether the program works. About the role You'll be the Program Lead's right hand: a senior program manager who can take a whole area of Claude Corps, set the plan, and run it without being managed day to day. That frees Kelly to focus on program operations and strategy across the fellowship. Your first area is the fellow experience, which today has no single end-to-end owner. You'll own how we communicate with, connect, and gather fellows, from offer through their last day. As the program scales, your scope will shift to wherever the biggest gap is. That could mean host organization experience or another part of the program, and future hires (for example, a community manager) may report to you. This is a generalist role by design. We're hiring for strong program management judgment, not a single specialty. What success looks like First 30 days: learn it and take the wheel Get to know Cohort 1 (100 fellows live now), the mentor team, and our Anthropic partners Map the fellow journey from offer to day one, and name the three biggest gaps Take over day-to-day fellow communications (program inbox, fellow Slack, regular updates) from your manager Lock the Cohort 2 onboarding plan for 300 fellows: timeline, host matching updates, and relocation guidance Days 31 to 60: deliver Cohort 2 Basecamp Run the week-long Cohort 2 Basecamp kickoff (starting Feb 22) with our event agency and curriculum team. You'll own the run of show, attendee experience, and on-site problem solving Get every Cohort 2 fellow from signed offer to day one with clear, consistent communication Days 61 to 90: build for scale Launch a fellow support model that a small team can run for 1,000 fellows: self-serve resources, AI-assisted answers, and clear escalation to mentors, HR, and program leads Stand up community rituals and peer structures that don't depend on you to run Report engagement, satisfaction, and retention to CodePath and Anthropic leadership 6 to 12 months Cohort 3 (600 fellows) onboards on playbooks you wrote, with fewer people and fewer hours than Cohort 2 You've documented what works so another team could pick it up and run it You've taken on a second program area where we need it most What you'll do Own the plan. Set direction for your program area, make clear trade-offs, and tie the work to outcomes like fellow retention and engagement Run the details. Keep many workstreams moving at once and close loops without reminders Communicate well. Set honest expectations with fellows, keep the Claude Corps voice consistent, and keep host organizations informed in coordination with Anthropic's host team Build systems, not heroics. Use AI, including Claude, every day, and choose tools that let a small team serve thousands of people Partner widely. Work closely with the mentor team, curriculum, HR, outside vendors, and Anthropic partners What we're looking for Required 7+ years in program management, including owning a cohort-based program, fellowship, or member community end to end You've set direction for a program area yourself, not only carried out someone else's plan You can show how you run a heavy, changing workload: your system, what slipped once, and what you changed afterward You've moved work from manual to systematic, and you use AI tools hands-on in your daily work You write clearly and warmly and adjust your tone for fellows, executives, and partners You can travel to multi-day events several times a year, including February and late summer 2027 Preferred Experience Experience in two or more of: participant communications, community building, or large in-person events with an outside agency Fellowships, service programs like AmeriCorps, or early-career talent programs Supporting participants through a relocation or major life transition Experience at a nonprofit, in education, or at a fast-growing startup Full-Time Employee Benefits This is a remote position—work from anywhere in the US! CodePath prioritizes employee well-being with a competitive benefits package to support your health, financial security, and work-life balance. Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision insurance (90% employer-covered for employees and dependents), employer-funded healthcare reimbursement, FSAs, and Employee Assistance Program Financial Security: 401(k), employer-paid life & disability insurance, and identity theft protection Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO, paid holidays, 10 weeks of fully paid parental leave, and an annual year-end company closure (Dec 24 – Jan 2) Professional Growth: $1,000 annual professional development stipend and home office setup support Student Loan Forgiveness: CodePath is a qualifying employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), helping employees manage student loan debt Additional Perks: Pet wellness plans, legal services, home/auto insurance discounts, and exclusive marketplace savings Pay range $130,000—$155,000 USD
