As they continue to grow and expand their product offerings, they are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Operations Assistant to join their dynamic Operations team. Position Summary The Operations Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the bank’s Operations Department. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this individual will be responsible for a wide range of operational tasks including transaction processing, account reconciliation, customer support, and technical assistance for cash management products. This role requires a strong understanding of banking procedures, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities • Provide responsive and professional customer service via phone and email, resolving inquiries and issues efficiently • Support onboarding and implementation of cash management products and services for business customers • Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and other banking transactions • Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies • Assist with compliance and risk management by adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements • Conduct internal audits to verify procedural compliance and data integrity • Provide operational support for fraud claims, legal processes, and bank controls • Maintain and monitor customer files and system operations related to cash management products • Process wire transfers, ACH transactions, and other fund movements • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to increased operational efficiency • Participate in special projects and respond to audit requests as needed • Provide Help Desk support for internal systems and users Qualifications • High School Diploma required; college coursework in business or accounting preferred • 6 months to 3 years of experience in bank operations • General knowledge of accounting principles and banking regulations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Proficiency in COCC, Insight, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and internet-based tools • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team • Willingness to cross-train and support other team members • Regular attendance is essential Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of managing routine tasks while exercising sound judgment. This role requires someone who can prioritize effectively, communicate clearly, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Supervision is intermittent, so the ability to take initiative and follow standardized procedures is key. This role is on-site in Winsted. The hourly range is $20-$25/hr. There are some off-hour rotations including until 6pm two days a week and 8:30am-12pm on Saturdays. All hours will average out to 37.5 per week.
