Job Overview: Effective communication and collaboration with other workers is integral to the role of the Electrical Maintenance Technician. They must be able to work well with other mechanics and employees to ensure that all electrical components are installed and maintained correctly. Duties & Responsibilities: • Ensure on-time repair, replacement, and maintenance of electrical wiring and circuits on production equipment at the production plant • Provides technical support and guidance to maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to diagnose and fix electrical issues • Prepares codes for electronic and electrical equipment, takes charge of the installation, care, and overhaul of electrical controls, wiring, and lighting networks • Plays a part in fitting newly acquired or upgraded assets and verifies the optimum functioning of electrical components • Maintains a current collection of electrical diagrams, whether they are in digital or printed form • The employee may need to perform additional responsibilities beyond their job description Knowledge, skills, and abilities are essential to success in any profession, and should be cultivated throughout one's career • Diverse experience and competency in using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Having a background in repairing or replacing electrical components in manufacturing equipment is highly desirable • Attention to detail • Collaboration promotes creativity, innovation, and open communication, which ultimately leads to better outcomes • Proficiency to function autonomously or collaboratively in a team-oriented ambiance • The capacity for independent judgment is essential in decision-making • Endless striving for progress Minimum Qualifications: • Given the competitiveness of the job market, individuals who pursue two years of higher education beyond high school in college or technical school enhance their job prospects and earning potential • With an Associate's degree or up to three years of college or technical school , you can enter a variety of career fields that offer growth opportunities, job security, and financial stability • Professional Growth through 1-3 Years of Working Experience Preferred Qualifications: • An Electrical Engineering Technology Associate Degree is a program that will equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in the engineering field • If you have 1-3 years of experience in electrical work, you may be eligible for an electrical certification.
