Our tight-knit team thrives in a collaborative environment where safety, quality, and work-life balance come first with a focus on professional growth at our new 27,000+ sq. ft. facility. Join us to make a tangible impact on mission-critical technology while enjoying Northern Virginia's vibrant community. Position: You will be responsible for the secure management of the parts cage/stockroom, maintaining accurate inventory of components and materials, and preparing/delivering production kits to support weapon systems assembly. Working closely with manufacturing technicians, quality assurance, procurement, and program management (while coordinating with shipping/receiving personnel for inbound/outbound transfers), you will ensure just-in-time material availability, traceability, and compliance in a fast-paced defense manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: • Manage the secure parts cage/stockroom, including organizing storage locations, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing access controls for sensitive/ITAR-controlled items. • Perform periodic count procedures, full physical inventories, resolving discrepancies to ensure 100% inventory accuracy in the ERP/PLM system. • Pull, verify, kit, stage, and deliver materials/components to production work centers based on build schedules, work orders, and production requirements. • Issue and transact materials in the ERP system, maintaining full traceability for lot/serial-controlled, calibrated, or shelf-life items. • Monitor stock levels, identify low-stock conditions, and initiate replenishment requests to procurement while minimizing excess/obsolete inventory. • Support production by resolving material shortages, coordinating substitutions with engineering/quality, and escalating issues promptly. • Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards, ITAR/export controls, ESD protection, and other specifications during all handling and storage activities. • Perform receiving inspections as needed (in coordination with shipping/receiving) and update records for incoming materials. • Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending stockroom layout enhancements, kitting process optimizations, or inventory management tools. Qualifications: • 2–10 years of experience in inventory control, stockroom management, kitting, or materials handling in a manufacturing environment. • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field a plus. • Hands-on experience with ERP/PLM systems (e.g., WindChill) for transactions, cycle counting, and reporting. • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain high inventory accuracy in a regulated environment. • Familiarity with defense/aerospace standards including ITAR, AS9100, ESD handling, and shelf-life management. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts). • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance (active clearance a plus). • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented production setting. Desired Skills: • Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or lean manufacturing principles. • Experience in weapon systems, missile components, or other DoD/aerospace production environments. • Knowledge of calibrated tooling, hazardous materials handling, or NIST SP 800-171 requirements. • Forklift certification or experience operating powered material handling equipment. What We Offer: Beyond competitive pay, we offer: • Full benefits from day one: medical, dental and vision • 401(k) with generous company match and immediate vesting • PTO and Federal holidays Apply now!
