Job Details The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible. Candidates and associates may be asked to travel to corporate offices for interviews, training and/or meetings. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States. This role leads a team focused on driving strategic growth and operational excellence across the registered investment advisory and broker/dealer businesses. It builds strong partnerships with Financial Representatives (FRs), Financial Advisors (FAs), vendors, and internal stakeholders to support advisor engagement, platform development, and field communications. The position oversees program offerings, ensures regulatory and compliance alignment, and contributes to marketing, training, and recruiting initiatives. It also sponsors key field events and advisory councils, playing a central role in executing business strategies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include: Oversee the registered investment advisory platform offering programs which include pricing, systems and processes to optimize business outcomes. Responsible for overseeing the business content of the firms Form ADV disclosures. Develops strong relationships with advisors, vendors, wholesalers, and platform providers for the registered investment advisory business and the broker/dealer business. Identifies opportunities and drives adoption of new registered investment advisory programs through promotion, training, and partnership with vendors. Develops messaging for marketing campaigns, creates content and presentations, and implements with our field in a regulatory compliance manner. Oversee the management and coordination of the firms’ approved programs and approved product lists. Provides oversight of the support for portfolio construction and other services necessary for the smooth operation of rep advised and rep guided programs. Works closely with CNO partners including marketing and field development to support campaigns, recruiting, and training initiatives. Manages field communications, firm conferences, webinars, promotions such as TWFA, Top Producers and similar, the BLS/BLAS Blog content. Home office sponsor of the BLS/BLAS Advisory Council. The Business Development Manager position is well suited for you if you: Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate a broad scope of data to define potential risks. Deep understanding of the RIA channel and wealth management. Strong understanding and application of FINRA, SEC and state rules with emphasis on the Investment Advisors Act of 1940. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and financial and presentation software. Strong business acumen and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing or equivalent to 8 years of experience. 7 years of industry experience. FINRA Series 7, 66, 24 required. What will set you apart: Master’s Degree in related fields of finance, business or marketing. Series 4, Series 53 a plus. 10 years of industry experience; Financial advisor experience, running small businesses, advertising principal compliance.
