Role Overview: As the Customs Brokerage Manager, you will oversee the customs brokerage operations to ensure full compliance with U.S. customs regulations and smooth clearance of shipments. You will lead a team of customs professionals, manage operational workflows, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize customs processes. What You'll Do: - You will supervise and manage daily customs brokerage operations to ensure timely and accurate clearance of shipments. - You will ensure compliance with all U.S. customs laws, regulations, and company policies. - You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of customs brokerage specialists. - You will coordinate with customs authorities, clients, and internal departments to resolve issues and facilitate smooth customs clearance. - You will monitor and analyze customs brokerage performance metrics and implement improvements. - You will stay updated on changes in customs regulations and industry best practices. - You will manage documentation and reporting related to customs brokerage activities. - You will support audits and inspections by regulatory agencies. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage or related logistics roles. - Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and compliance requirements. - Proven leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency with customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with international trade compliance and import/export regulations. - Certification such as Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist. - Familiarity with trade agreements and tariff classifications. - Experience working in a blended office and remote work environment.
