Role Overview: As the Customs Brokerage Manager, you will oversee the customs brokerage operations to ensure compliance with U.S. customs regulations and efficient processing of shipments. You will lead a team of customs brokers and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline operations and maintain high service standards. What You'll Do: - You will manage daily customs brokerage operations, ensuring timely and accurate clearance of shipments. - You will ensure compliance with all U.S. customs laws, regulations, and company policies. - You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of customs brokerage professionals. - You will coordinate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to resolve customs issues. - You will implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. - You will monitor and report on key performance indicators related to customs brokerage activities. - You will stay updated on changes in customs regulations and industry best practices. - You will collaborate with other departments to support overall logistics and supply chain objectives. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage or related logistics roles. - Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import/export compliance. - Proven leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency with customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Licensed Customs Broker certification. - Experience with international trade compliance and documentation. - Familiarity with trade agreements and tariff classifications. - Experience working in a blended office and remote work environment.
