Role Overview: As the Customs Brokerage Manager, you will oversee the customs brokerage operations to ensure full compliance with U.S. customs regulations and efficient processing of shipments. You will lead a team of customs brokerage professionals, manage relationships with clients and government agencies, and drive continuous improvement in operational processes. What You'll Do: - You will supervise and coordinate daily customs brokerage activities to ensure timely and accurate clearance of shipments. - You will ensure compliance with all U.S. customs laws, regulations, and company policies. - You will manage and mentor a team of customs brokerage specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. - You will liaise with clients, customs officials, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate smooth operations. - You will develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risks. - You will monitor and report on key performance indicators related to customs brokerage operations. - You will stay current with changes in customs regulations and industry best practices. - You will support the training and development of staff to maintain high standards of knowledge and compliance. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage or related logistics roles. - Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import/export compliance. - Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency with customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office Suite. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with international trade compliance and regulations beyond U.S. customs. - Certification such as Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist. - Familiarity with trade agreements and tariff classifications. - Experience working in a blended office and remote work environment.
