Role Overview: As the Customs Brokerage Manager, you will oversee the customs brokerage operations to ensure compliance with U.S. customs regulations and company policies. You will lead a team of customs brokers and coordinate with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth import and export processes. This role is critical in maintaining operational excellence and regulatory adherence. What You'll Do: - You will manage and supervise the daily customs brokerage operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments. - You will ensure compliance with all U.S. customs laws, regulations, and company policies. - You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of customs brokers and support staff. - You will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve customs-related issues. - You will monitor and analyze customs brokerage performance metrics and implement improvements. - You will stay updated on changes in customs regulations and industry best practices. - You will prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to customs activities. - You will support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage or related logistics roles. - Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import/export compliance. - Proven leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency with customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and other customs systems. - Certification as a Licensed Customs Broker. - Background in international trade compliance. - Experience working in a blended office and remote work environment.
