As a software engineer, you will develop software solutions for our customers that fit their business needs. You will work on software that may include web-based applications, business automation solutions, API integrations, and more. You will be comfortable learning about unique business problems, identifying creative solutions, and developing scalable, secure, and right-sized software for our customers. We're moving toward an AI-first development model, and you'll play a direct role in that transition. This is a remote position, and you'll join a semi-remote team of engineers and platform engineers across the organization. We embrace a modern approach to development including: * We're moving toward AI-first development, where AI is handling a growing share of code generation and review. * Lightweight SDLC toolchain which allows a faster onboarding process and a more enjoyable development environment * Container-based/modular, decoupled application architectures * Security-first methodology with well-integrated tools * Guardrails that allow developers to work creatively and independently while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect * Automated release management that reduces manual effort * Lightweight CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments Duties: * Gather requirements through meetings with customers, stakeholders, and other users to understand customers' business needs * Develop, test, and maintain software solutions end-to-end, increasingly directing AI tools for code generation and review as part of our AI-first transition * Assist with developing code standards for the company, including standards for effective AI-directed development * Deliver unique, cloud-based solutions * Learn and maintain knowledge of current technologies — including emerging AI development tools — to further innovation in the company and with our customers Minimum Qualifications: * A bachelor's degree with major coursework in computer science or a related field is ideal. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements. * 2+ years of experience in Angular v14+ or Go * Comfort with, or excitement to learn, AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as a core part of how you write and review code * Willingness to learn with a passion for creating software * Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities. We are a semi-remote team and rely heavily on this skill to maintain productivity.
