Salary commensurate with experience* Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced SAP SuccessFactors Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and strategic implementation of SuccessFactors solutions across a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical and functional authority on SAP SuccessFactors and will work closely with the team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and integrated solutions. This role is critical to aligning the organization's business processes with its HR digital transformation objectives and must ensure compliance with public-sector policies, higher-education structures, and multi-entity governance models. Duties: • Lead the overall architecture and design strategy for the SAP SuccessFactors suite, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance & Goals, Learning, and Onboarding. • Serve as the bridge between business strategy and technology by aligning SuccessFactors capabilities with organizational HR goals and policies. • Define integration strategy between SuccessFactors and external systems (e.g., ERP, Payroll, Benefits, Identity Management), using tools like SAP CPI, Dell Boomi, or PI/PO. • Oversee data governance, security modeling, and role-based permissions (RBP) in complex, unionized, or civil-service environments. • Lead architectural design sessions, system design reviews, and configuration best practices for SuccessFactors modules. • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define interface specifications, process improvements, and change management plans. • Ensure scalability, compliance, and sustainability of the SAP SuccessFactors implementation over time. Mandatory Qualifications: • 9+ years of experience in SAP HCM/SAP SuccessFactors architecture and implementation. • Hands-on configuration and architectural knowledge of multiple SuccessFactors modules, with deep expertise in Employee Central. • Proven experience with SuccessFactors integrations (via SAP CPI or equivalent), data migrations, and core HR systems. • Strong understanding of public sector HR, higher education, or unionized environments. • Experience implementing large, complex HR systems in multi-entity organizations. • Familiarity with governance structures, system cutover strategies, and testing frameworks. • Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Desirable Qualifications: • Experience working in higher education, especially large, decentralized university systems. • Prior experience working with New York State (NYS), or New York City (NYC) government agencies. • Understanding of public sector HR, including union rules, civil service classification, and state compliance frameworks. • SAP SuccessFactors Professional Certification(s). • Knowledge of S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or legacy HRMS environments is a plus.
