Position Title: Administrator -Case Management - No-Fault Auto Insurance Location: Michigan Counties of Oakland, Livingston, Wayne, or Washtenaw (virtual) Type of Position: Contract – 20-25 hours/week Fee Schedule: $28 - $35/hour based on qualifications and experience Reporting To: President JOB SUMMARY: This role is to support no-fault auto insurance and workman’s comp case managers who are in the field supporting patients and their providers. This individual will be very familiar with Michigan’s no-auto insurance regulations and have extensive experience in creating all the supporting documentation to allow for the creation and distribution of accurate insurance billing and other documents, such as CMS-1500’s. The position requires the administrator to follow up directly with the insurance company’s adjustors and/or 3rd party billing companies to expediate payment for services rendered in a timely fashion. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Duties Include, but not limited to: 1. Keep up to date on all regulations regarding no-fault insurance in Michigan 2. Retrieve billable activities from the case management software 3. Maintain a close working relationship with field case managers by phone, email, or text etc. 4. Flexible hours but must be available during normal business hours to speak with case managers and insurance adjusters etc. 5. Review and prepare all insurance forms and invoices based on the unique requirements of each insurance company (coding, rates, exceptions etc.) 6. Assist in migrating from a mix of paper and electronic documents to 100% paperless environment. 7. Transmit all documents to the insurance companies 8. Follow up directly through various channels with insurance companies where claims are late being paid and/or denied 9. Correct all documentation to meet the payor’s requirements 10. Receive, reconcile and deposit all incoming checks and electronic payments 11. Participate and present in weekly operations meetings TECHNOLOGY: Preference will be given to candidates who have experience withEMR/Case Management systems, such as Advocate, and other electronic tools, such as iPostal. Experience with accounting systems, such as QuickBooks On-Line would be useful. Proven experience in adopting new technologies will be very beneficial to landing this position. JOB QUALIFICATIONS 1. Must have current Michigan no-fault insurance experience 2. Must have extensive knowledge of billing and insurance forms 3. Must have prior working relationship with case managers 4. Must have successful prior working experience with insurance adjusters 5.
