Through our flagship Climatebase Fellowship, 150,000-subscriber Climatebase Weekly newsletter, and growing Climate Week Network initiative, we are building the ecosystem that accelerates climate action and climate solutions around the world. About the Climate Week Network Initiative: Climatebase partners with local organizers, nonprofits, and community leaders across the U.S. and globally to help launch, expand, and strengthen Climate Weeks — decentralized, city-wide gatherings designed to mobilize climate action, foster collaboration, and elevate climate innovation. Our team provides partners with branding, technology, playbooks, operational support, and program coordination to help them host high-impact Climate Weeks in their cities. As interest in the initiative grows rapidly, we are expanding our team to build the operational backbone needed to support multiple cities simultaneously. About the Role: We’re hiring a Program Operations Manager to work directly with the Climatebase leadership team and play a central role in managing our growing network of Climate Week partners. This is a highly operational, highly organized, communication-heavy role. You will be responsible for managing dozens of concurrent conversations with Climate Week organizers, tracking partnership progress in a CRM, and ensuring that partners move smoothly through our collaboration pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing structure to complexity, excels at managing relationships and follow-through, and thrives in a fast-moving, mission-driven startup environment. You will be a critical operator who helps us execute on strategy, keeps conversations moving, and ensures that nothing slips through the cracks. What You’ll Do: Partnership Coordination & Communication: • Manage ongoing communications with Climate Week organizers across multiple cities • Keep conversations organized, prioritized, and moving through defined stages • Draft and send follow-up emails, scheduling messages, and partnership communications • Lead the onboarding of Climate Week partners into core administrative tools and content management systems to ensure the smooth execution of each Climate Week. • Advise Climate Week organizers on best practices across sponsorship development, marketing strategy, and announcements. CRM & Operational Management: • Build and maintain a clean, organized CRM / Kanban system tracking all partner relationships • Ensure every conversation is updated, labeled, and moved through the pipeline accurately • Run weekly pipeline reviews with leadership to flag blockers, opportunities, and priorities Mass Outreach & Program Coordination: • Coordinate outbound messages to large groups of interested Climate Week organizers • Draft clear, structured mass emails updating partners on timelines, next steps, and resources • Help streamline communication processes and documentation across the Climate Week initiative Internal Collaboration & Strategic Input: • Work closely with Climatebase leadership (founders + operations leads) • Contribute ideas, observations, and recommendations based on partner feedback • Offer strategic suggestions when appropriate, while supporting leadership-led decision making • Create and refine internal systems, templates, and playbooks to improve efficiency Relationship Building & Value Communication • Help communicate the value of partnering with Climatebase and the Climate Week Network • Ensure organizers understand the resources, support, and technology available to them • Represent Climatebase professionally and enthusiastically in written and verbal communication What We’re Looking For Required: • 3–6 years of experience in program operations, project management, or similar roles • Exceptional organizational skills — you love systems, pipelines, and clean CRMs • Strong written communication skills, especially in follow-up emails and partner communication • Experience managing multiple simultaneous conversations and keeping them prioritized • Comfort working closely with founders and senior leadership in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently, stay proactive, and anticipate needs • High reliability, punctuality, and follow-through Bonus • Experience in partnerships, account management, or stakeholder coordination • Experience working with community programs or multi-stakeholder networks • Familiarity with climate, civic engagement, or event ecosystems • Experience using HubSpot, Airtable, Notion, or other pipeline tools Who You Are • An operator first — someone who loves execution, organization, and structure • A doer who takes ownership and doesn’t let things fall through cracks • A strong communicator who writes clean, professional, friendly emails • Someone energized by mission-driven work and supporting climate leaders across cities • Comfortable being the connective tissue between dozens of conversations and the leadership team • Someone who thrives in ambiguity and brings clarity and order to it
