Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of program/project management experience in continuous improvement, with strong skills in Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and advanced communication and analytical abilities.
The Strategic Program Manager leads and drives cross-functional initiatives focusing on continuous improvement, process optimization, and strategic execution. This role is responsible for managing multiple complex programs that deliver measurable operational impact while holding stakeholders accountable to timelines, KPIs, and results. Duties and Responsibilities • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of enterprise-level strategic and continuous improvement programs. • Drive program governance, including progress reporting, milestone tracking, and risk management. • Facilitate regular program reviews with stakeholders to ensure accountability and resolve roadblocks proactively. • Develop and implement continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance performance, reduce waste, and optimize processes. • Collaborate with operational and functional leaders to identify opportunities for efficiency, scalability, and innovation. • Ensure alignment of initiatives with organizational goals, budgets, and resources. • Serve as a central point of coordination between business units, operations, and executive sponsors. • Champion a culture of operational excellence and data-driven decision making. Skills, Education, and Competencies • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (MBA or similar advanced degree preferred). • 7+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in continuous improvement or operational excellence roles. • Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with accountability across multiple stakeholders. • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar improvement methodologies. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills with the ability to influence at all levels. • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience using metrics and KPIs to track performance. • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, MS Project). Physical Requirements and Working Conditions • Prolonged Sitting – Computer analysts often sit for extended periods while working on systems and coding. • Repetitive Movements – Typing, clicking, and using a mouse frequently can lead to strain. • Hand-Eye Coordination – Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls is essential. • Visual Acuity – Analysts need to see details of objects both near and far, such as reading screens and documents. • Clear Communication – Understanding speech and speaking clearly is important for collaboration. • Fine Motor Skills – Using fingers to grasp, move, or assemble small objects may be necessary. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. • Light to moderate lifting may be required. • All employees may be required to visit a customer site and/or complete a ride along with a field technician as part of their employment.
