As an Account Executive, you will serve in an account-facing role focused on cultivating trust-based relationships while driving strategic growth across local, national, and international accounts. This role supports organizations in navigating the complexities of the employee healthcare benefits landscape, including Cleveland Clinic’s Virtual Second Opinion program, to deliver high-quality, accessible solutions to their workforce. By strengthening strategic relationships and guiding clients through complex benefits challenges, you will directly support Cleveland Clinic’s mission to provide world-class care and extend its impact beyond clinical walls. This position offers the opportunity to represent a globally respected healthcare institution, work closely with industry-leading clinicians and programs, and contribute to meaningful improvements in patient access, outcomes, and experience, while ensuring service continuity, strengthening client engagement, and supporting growth across our expanding portfolio. A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. Caregivers in this role may be required to travel occasionally—up to 25% of the time, primarily during open enrollment—for key meetings, strategic reviews, and relationship-building activities. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Develop and execute sophisticated business development strategies to create, expand, and sustain high-value partnerships with payor accounts across local, national, and international markets. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned high-value accounts, focusing on retention through strategic relationship management and identifying opportunities to upsell and expand services in alignment with financial targets. Oversee targeted marketing campaign strategies (e.g., print, digital, social, other) to train, educate, and drive benefit engagement (i.e. utilization) on assigned accounts, resulting in net new patient utilization of Cleveland Clinic product offerings. Manage the sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and execution, ensuring smooth transitions and long-term account satisfaction. Lead sales, marketing, and advisory initiatives across Fortune 1000 companies, government entities, distribution channels, and national broker/consultant networks. Serve as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador, reinforcing the Cleveland Clinic value proposition through every account interaction. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of complex healthcare trends, research, and employer benefits issues—including cost drivers, outcomes, and market benchmarks. Maintain timely and accurate records in CRM systems, documenting account interactions, updates, and activities. Perform other duties as assigned in support of individual, work unit, and department OKR goals and growth initiatives. Manage full contract lifecycle (negotiation, execution, compliance). Support transition activities as VSO integrates into Employer Solutions. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or another related field and 8 years of demonstrated success in sales, marketing or account management growth role managing multiple multi-million-dollar accounts. OR Associates Degree and 10 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of experience Superior interpersonal, analytical, business, and communication skills (both oral and written), including strong presentation capabilities and ability to write on target Attention to detail in work product (e.g., presentations, strategies, proposals, CRM documentation, etc.) Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution to meet individual, work-unit, and department OKR goals Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: MBA or business-related Master’s degree Strong experience managing complex employer or healthcare-related accounts Bilingual in Spanish Health insurance licensure Health & Welfare benefits experience, including work with self-funded employers Managed care experience Consultative account management and sales experience, including complex account relationship management Experience with point solution marketplaces and technology-driven healthcare solutions Strong account management skills with the ability to interpret and translate client needs into actionable growth strategies Experience with reporting, strategic insights, and CRM documentation/recordkeeping Contract management experience, including handling complex contracting processes in healthcare or technology settings Familiarity with SaaS platforms (Software as a Service) Knowledge of the Virtual Second Opinion (VSO) industry or similar healthcare technology services Knowledge of B2B and B2C strategies within tech-enabled healthcare solutions Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. Ability to clearly communicate by phone, video conference calls and in person. Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer, standard software (e.g. Microsoft Suite/Outlook, and other industry standard software) or other office equipment. Ability to travel throughout the United States to support events, as requested. In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
