About Clearspace Clearspace is building the intentionality layer of the internet. Our mission is to build technology as effective at protecting human attention as social media is at exploiting it (infinite scrolling, short-form feeds, manipulative notifications, etc). Our category defining mobile app has been featured on Huberman Lab, New York Times Wirecutter, NPR Marketplace, Forbes, TBPN. People that want a better relationship with their devices have nowhere to turn except for willpower. We are building an agent that achieves this on all devices by processing and filtering network traffic based on natural language rules. About The Role We are looking for an ML-focused engineer that will be responsible for training and improving a model for classifying network traffic. You are great for this role is you are not only excited about the latest and greatest tools in AI and ML but are also a problem-solver in the data domain. You don’t just think about the model but “how can we get more data volume”; “how can we featurize the data intelligently”; “what are our data needs based on our task and desired model size”, and like building backwards from inference requirements. Responsibilities Own implementation of production model that classifies network traffic Create tooling for data gathering Work directly with the founders to define research direction Move fast and autonomously Qualifications Bachelor or higher Computer Science or related engineering degree Experience in training production-grade sequential models, particularly on time-series data Willing to work onsite in San Francisco Nice to Have Specific experience with network traffic Graduate research experience
