Who We Are Clean Power Alliance (CPA) is Southern California’s locally operated not-for-profit default electricity provider for 38 communities within Los Angeles and Ventura counties and the 4th largest electricity provider in the State of California. We provide clean renewable energy at competitive rates to over three million residents and businesses through approximately one million customer accounts. What You’ll Do CPA is seeking an experienced, creative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic professional to join our Communications and Marketing Team. In this role, you will manage and assist with the development of communications and marketing content for a Southern California Equitable Building Decarbonization grant administered by the County of Los Angeles (County) and implementing the California Energy Commission (CEC) Equitable Building Decarbonization (EBD) Direct Install (DI) Program (EBD DI Program). You will manage and assist with the development of content for our website, email outreach, social media, reports, and additional digital communications. You will lead the development and implementation of communications and marketing for community outreach, education, external messaging, and customer enrollment. This is the perfect role for someone who is both analytical and creative, intellectually curious, has excellent marketing and outreach skills, is a self-starter and is quick-thinking and flexible. Experience in developing various program marketing content for webpages, videos, and paid media assets that encourage participation. Experience with Google analytics, social media, and media monitoring analytics Experience with MailChimp, Survey Monkey, and Tableau preferred Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and present detailed marketing plans to stakeholders that support goals and deliverables of the EBD DI Program. Create and inform brand and program strategy development by leveraging secondary and primary market research, analytics, and benchmarks, ensuring our approaches are data-driven and effective. Manage the EBD DI program’s implementation from the planning stage through close-out, including managing all outreach, campaigns, and events while adhering to approved budgets. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external marketing vendors, including advertising agencies, translation companies, and printers, ensuring all deliverables meet CPA’s brand guidelines and are delivered on time and within budget. Identify and select external vendors for marketing services and projects, ensuring they align with CPA’s goals and standards. Campaign Planning and Execution: Manage the planning, execution, and optimization, and documentation of paid media campaigns across traditional and digital channels, maximizing outreach and engagement. Lead coordination with internal teams for seamless campaign executions and approvals, ensuring alignment with CPA’s overall objectives. Monitor brand and program campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations for optimizations, continuously improving our marketing effectiveness. Data Analysis and Reporting: Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and communicating project data. Analyze and track metrics, identify trends, and interpret data to ensure effective campaign adjustments and informed decision-making. Strategic Analysis: Responsible for performing strategic analysis to identify trends and anomalies that impact CPA’s brand, operations, and strategy and communicating results and relevant information to senior leadership. Responsible for analyzing the performance of creative assets using innovative techniques and methodologies to derive actionable insights and deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Qualifications Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or closely related field A minimum of 5 years of experience in Communications or Marketing Experience with similar electrification programs and/or projects throughout the Southern California region is a plus Work Location This position is eligible for either Hybrid or Remote options. The Hybrid option requires attendance in our Downtown Los Angeles office on a full-time basis 2- 3 days per week on days determined by CPA, with work location on the remaining days either in office or remote. This includes a transportation allowance. The Remote option requires you to be available to attend full-time in office days and/or field events within Los Angeles and Ventura Counties in accordance with the needs of the company that may start as early as 8:30am at least 2 days per week. The Remote & Hybrid options require full-time in-person attendance at organization or team-wide events 3 times per year for 3-5 days per event. All staff are required to work during CPA’s office hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm PST. The salary range for this position is $115,838 - $159,277, with exact compensation to be determined by Clean Power Alliance, dependent on experience. Benefits include health care, a 401(k)-like match program, paid vacation, and sick leave. This is not a civil service position; however, all CPA employees are required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests form, also known as the Form 700. Employment Term This grant funded position is for a three-year term that begins at the start of employment and is fully funded by the California Energy Commission Equitable Building Decarbonization Direct Install Program.
