About Claudia House Claudia House is a nonprofit serving justice-involved youth ages 18–25 through our Residential Independent Living Program (ILP). We help young adults build life skills, pursue education, and prepare for employment as they transition to independence. Role Summary The Peer Support Specialist uses lived experience to mentor and support residents as they work toward independence. This role focuses on building trust, encouraging self-advocacy, and connecting youth to community resources. Key Responsibilities • Provide peer mentoring, guidance, and emotional support • Help residents set and achieve personal goals • Support daily living skills, education, and job readiness • Connect residents with community and recovery resources • Maintain documentation and contribute to a supportive team environment Qualifications • Lived experience with justice involvement, foster care, or similar systems • Experience mentoring or supporting youth and young adults • Strong communication and active listening skills • Ability to model positive coping, resilience, and professional boundaries • Knowledge of local resources; bilingual skills are a plus Why Join Us?
