Sourcing Manager – MRO / Indirect Spend About the Role We are seeking an experienced strategic Sourcing Manager, MRO & Indirect Procurement to lead strategic sourcing and purchasing activities across multiple indirect spend categories. This role is responsible for developing and executing category strategies, leading RFP events, negotiating supplier agreements, and driving cost savings while ensuring operational continuity across multiple sites. This position requires hands-on purchasing experience, strong strategic sourcing capability, and direct experience managing MRO and service-based categories in a complex, fast-paced environment. Categories Managed Include (Required Experience): • Safety, Office, and Operational Supplies (MRO) • Equipment Rental • Temporary Labor • Utility Services & Natural Gas • IT Software and IT Equipment Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute strategic sourcing and category management plans for assigned MRO and indirect spend categories • Lead end-to-end RFP and sourcing events, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution • Build and maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships across operations, finance, and site leadership • Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and service agreements to maximize value and minimize risk • Implement category and commodity strategies, driving change management and adoption across the organization • Partner with site buyers to ensure inventory availability while minimizing excess or obsolete stock • Track, report, and present cost savings, sourcing results, and category performance to leadership • Drive continuous improvement, compliance, and efficiency across indirect procurement operations Qualifications • 5–7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or category management • Demonstrated experience managing MRO and indirect spend categories (safety, office, operations, services, utilities, IT) • Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills • Proven ability to analyze data and market trends to support sourcing decisions • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred • Professional certifications strongly preferred: • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), Level 3 or higher • Experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or multi-site environments preferred Why This Role • High-impact role with ownership of critical spend categories • Opportunity to drive measurable cost savings and operational improvements • Collaborative environment with exposure to senior leadership • Competitive compensation and growth potential
